We’re here to report that another West Side Masonic Center Fish Fry successfully ended on Good Friday. Seven Fridays and weeks of planning beforehand have flown by again! Each year our reputation for quality grows thanks to word of mouth and, now, thanks to Facebook. Each year we produce a quality meal at a reasonable price according to our customers, many of whom are repeat diners. This success is only achieved by a group effort and many volunteers who have been dedicated every Thursday and Friday, week after week; purchasing, setting up, preparing, serving, and cleaning up afterward. We especially appreciate the efforts of our members’ ladies who served as hostess/cashiers and serving on the food line. As with any group effort, any to attempt to name each person would likely result in not acknowledging somebody’s efforts so please forgive that we are not doing so. We do, however, want to specifically thank Brothers “Big” Ken Luttrell, Sr. and “Little” Ken Luttrell, Jr. for leading this year’s fish fry again and making it a financial success. Those who prepared the fish thank Brother Doug Harris for the loan of a stainless food preparation table that provided a more “ergonomically” effective method for preparing the fish, thus not requiring the use of back liniment the following Saturday.
