RWB WILLIAM R POWERS 33RD DEGREE PASSES

We sadly announce the passing of our brother RWB William R. Powers 33rd degree on October 10. 2024. Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Scottish Rite Service at 11:45 a.m. There will be no Blue Lodge service.  Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.

RWB Powers was a 54 year member of our Lodge: Born October 10, 1940; Inititated June 11, 1969; Passed September 17, 1969; and Raised October 29, 1969.

Obituary

William R Powers Jr , 84, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024 surrounded by family.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Vicki Lee Powers, his father William Powers, Sr and his mother Bertha (Holzshuh) Powers. He was the devoted father of Brad (Shari) Powers and Stephanie (Andy) Vaneekeren, proud grandfather of Katie (Matt) Lebhar, Will Powers, Celia ( Kevin) Browne, Taylor Vaneekeren and Nick Vaneekeren and dear brother of Robert (Linda) Powers.  Bill is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Bill will be remembered for his many interests and passion for life.  He loved to travel, bowl, dance with his wife, attend the theater, belt out a few show tunes, tell a good joke and play a round of golf with his friends.  Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family and bragging about his grandchildren to anyone who would listen.

Bill will also be remembered as a man who worked hard his entire life.  In addition to being a regional sales representative for three national corporations, he co-founded Cincinnati Construction Products in 1971.  He served as President of the company until his retirement.  Bill was a man of integrity, loyalty, honor and faith. He was a long-standing parishioner of Northminster Presbyterian Church and became an active member of both the Masonic Blue Lodge (1969) and Scottish Rite (1970).  He would go on to earn his 33 degree and hold such distinguished offices as Commander in Chief, Member of the Supreme Council and Deputy of Ohio   He leaves behind numerous esteemed Masonic brethren.

To commemorate his remarkable life, a visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Scottish Rite Service at 11:45 a.m.

Followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231  Burial to immediately follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 11825 Pippin Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.  Burial to immediately follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 11825 Pippin Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
